Birman

The Birman, or “Sacred Cat of Burma,” is a color-point breed with striking blue eyes and a signature trait: four pure white paws, called “gloves,” on an otherwise darker-pointed coat. Their coat is semi-long but silky and low-shedding compared to other long-haired breeds, with minimal undercoat to mat. Birmans are gentle, sweet-natured, and highly sociable, often following family members around the house without being overly demanding. They tend to get along well with children, other cats, and even dogs, making them one of the more adaptable long-haired breeds. Regular brushing a couple of times a week keeps their coat tangle-free.
