Cornish Rex

The Cornish Rex is defined by its unique, tightly curled coat made up entirely of a soft undercoat — no guard hairs — giving it a velvety, wavy texture unlike any other breed. Slender with an arched back, long legs, and large ears, Cornish Rex cats have an elegant, almost greyhound-like silhouette. They are extremely active, athletic, and playful, often running, jumping, and “performing” for attention well into old age. Because their coat is thin and offers little insulation, they tend to seek out warm spots and enjoy snuggling under blankets or with their owners. Their low-shedding coat requires little brushing, though they may need occasional bathing since they can feel oily without a normal coat to absorb skin oils.
